Hi all! My first semester of nursing school I purchased an old edition of my physical assessment book which saved me $100 and did not affect my studies at all. It was a great choice, but I'm weary of taking the risk again. What are y'all's thoughts on buying and old edition of my pediatric book? I have the chance to buy the old one for only $10 as opposed to $70. What's the consensus?

Shoot your instructor an email and ask if the older edition is current enough. A good instructor will encourage you to buy the less expensive one if it's still current or tell you that you do need the newer one for more current information. Good luck!

Also you can often Google and find out what changes were made between editions.

Is this a book you have access to online like Evolve? I printed copies of the chapter summaries for one of my books that was an older edition. helped a lot and saved me a ton of money.
