Pedi Interview

Published

Hey all! Have a pediatric interview today! I have wanted to be a pediatric nurse since I was 13 years old, so to say I am a little nervous is an understatement. I spent a good 15 years as a pediatric patient myself with a lot of time spent inpatient. I know what it means to be a kid in the hospital. Anyway, this is my dream. I'm so scared I will screw it up. Ive been working for 2 years on med surg, and love being a nurse. I had wonderful pediatric experience while in nursing school, and wonderful care given to me in my time of need. The nurses who took care of me were the reason I went to nursing school and I do what I do. I think of them and how they made me feel, how they made my family feel everyday I work. All i want is a chance to pay it forward. So, if anyone reads this and could send some good luck my way, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks for listening!

Good luck! Let us know how it goes. I've been a Peds nurse for 35 years & wouldn't trade a single day of it for anything!

Wishing wishing wishing for you to get your dream job! I started in peds too as a result of the nurses who took care of little bro with childhood leukemia (he's 43 now :-))

Thanks for all the good luck wishes! Unfortunately, I did not get the job. I am disappointed but ok with it all at once. The unit was not what I was expecting. It helped give me some good interview experience! Thanks again for the good luck! I will keep you updated on my job search. Have thought long and hard about different opportunities that may have been right in front of my face all this time! take care!
