I am trying to decide if I should get a pda software packages for my pocket pc. I have found pepid, epocrates and a bundled package of software on skyskape.

Does anyone use these and if so, what do you like and dislike about each?

Hey there,

I don't have a pocket PC yet but I've been looking posts with all this info on it because I will be getting on.

If you go to the search section and type in palm pilot it will bring of prior threads w/ tons of useful info / feedback on it.

Good luck.

Well, I tried a trial of skyscapes stuff and it looks cool but in order to get updated versions, I have to buy them again.

I downloaded the pepid and have not gotten it to work yet...

Epocrates can only be downloaded to your handheld not the memory cards so I am kinda thinking no for that package.

Pepid won't work for me, either. I downloaded it, and the application itself works - but there are no files/databases to view within it. Pretty frustrating.

I have several titles from skyscape and really like them. Even when my palm crashed (for other reasons) reloading my stuff was absolutly no problem. I have Stedman's, An IV drug book, Lippincott's drug book, a Nursing diagnoses book, and a book of lab tests designed for nursing.

I've used it in the classroom, in clinical and in other settings. :)

If you want more details about which titles I have, send me an email.

I have the RN Constilation package from skyscape. It was about $90.00. I do like it. I also have the free epocrates. If all you want is a drug program I would buy the epocrates program.
