I was talking to the director of the program and he said that he strongly recommends getting a cell phone ( I never used one much so didn't bother with it). However he says that a PDA is not required. I am thinking that I should get a phone with PDA capability as it can only help in clinical.
Does anyone have any good recs for PDA/ Cell Phone. I have looked at the Treo, Palm, and Blackberry. They all seem to be about the same price and have the same capabilities. I have also thought about the Iphone but I saw that they aren't quite up to speed on the software yet. Any ideas/ suggestions would be great.
I don't know if it makes a difference but my home computers are MAC as well.
Thanks

I have the Ipod Touch and Palm T/X. Its an unbeatable combo. In a couple months I wont need the Palm anymore as the software keeps getting better and better for the Touch/Iphone.

I have to say that I'm loving my Palm Treo Smartphone. I wasn't sure how I'd like it but it's working well for me. I would definately tell you to check with your program prior to buying a PDA to see what patient tracking software you'll be using. We will be using Medatrax and it's only compatible with a handfull of PDAs.
Good luck!

I have an Iphone 3G and love it. Skyscape makes their anesthesia programs available through the skyscape browser. The GPS is great too.
Thanks for the replies. I am still undecided but will probably go with a Treo or Blackberry.
