Good day to all!

I don't know if this question was already asked before, I am just so curious to know the truth about it.

Is there a pay rate difference between a Philippine board passer from a non-Philippine board passer? Assuming that they are both NCLEX-RN passer and luckily got a job in the US.

Is there an added pay rate for CGFNS passer eventhough CGFNS is not required in that particular state?

I dont thinks so, It more of the skills and years of experience that they will consider.:smilecoffeecup:

I agree with above post. Having passed the NLE in the Philippines and being registered as a nurse there does not affect your pay rate if hired by a US facility. Neither does having a CGFNS certificate. However, years of verifiable experience as an RN does.

for immigration to the US I believe that they have to pay the same to a foriegn trained nurse as they do a US trained, it just may vary a bit depending on experiences

yeah, its the experience that matters... in my facility, experience in the phbilippines is also being considered in terms of pay.....

Are you referring to Phil base experience or US based experience?

No, you don't need to have experience in the Philippines to be employed (U.S.) and petitioned if that's what you mean.

That's why you'll keep hearing about 2nd coursers in the Phil. going directly to the US w/o being employed first as a nurse in the Phil.

A year or two of experience in the Philippines will still bring you in as a new grad to the US. The experience in the Philippines is also very unlike what nursing in the US is actually like.
