In your personal opinions, does it look "bad" to potential employers if your transcripts are patchy? Meaning, you have credits from various sources. I have about 30 from my state U. I didnt finish because I was too busy working on my MRS instead of my BS. I ended up with Excelsior and have all of my Nsg concepts(except the dreaded NC5) Micro, lifespan and Infolit. I was considering a clep for socio since its cheaper than found of gerontology. Will that look too busy ? Should I just kick out the extra $$ so that my transcripts look a little more uniform? Just wondering as Ill be moving to Texas in Jan and I dont want any extra points against me on top of being an EC grad. All constructive answers appreciated. PS. Ill also be continuing for a BSN but Im probably "stuck" with EC given the age of my science courses anyway. Thanx guys.:loveya:

I don't think it matters that much ... at least I hope not, since I have credits from CLEP, AP, and three different schools (University of Maryland, a local community college, and Excelsior). I don't think there is anything wrong with broad horizons and education from many sources!
You are not "stuck" with EC. (I asked the same question and used the exact same phrase here a few months ago! LOL) Many schools give you credit for your sciences across the board if you are an RN. Also, there are schools that say that your credits never "age." I think University of Wisconsin-Green Bay's online RN-BSN program FAQ specifically states that, just as an example. When the time comes, look around! :) Or PM me and I'll help you look.

My cousin and I spoke about this same thing last week and we both feel that different sources does not matter. I think its a personal thing that you are more concerned. Don't worry. Clep Sociology. It IS cheaper.
