Pasadena RN spring 2015

I'm starting this thread. I applied for the spring 2015 term; i applied for the fall 2014, ended up as an alternate, but no luck. Hopefully i get in for the spring term. Just wondering who else applied for the spring?

No cause this is way early. Last year they didn't send them out until mid November I thought. But then again their aren't a lot of people on this thread either

I thought the first round of letters was for people to submit their TEAS scores. I already took my TEAS, but didn't submit it because they said they would send out emails mid October to those who qualify to take the TEAS, and if you already took it, you just send it in.

That I don't know anything about. I would call them and find out. I had already taken them through pasadena so I didn't have to do anything.

Has anyone heard anything yet?

Nothing on my side.

I called the office in the beginning of October and they told me that all emails regarding acceptance and alternates will go out by the end of October. I received my alternate email on October 9th. I took my TEAS back in August and forwarded my results to PCC shortly after. Has nobody else heard back yet?

I'm not positive but I think the application deadline was different last year and that's why they heard back so much later. On PCC's website there is a Registered Nursing Information Brochure that states "NOTIFICATION letters will be sent to applicants by EMAIL only approx. 8 weeks after the close of the application period" Since the application deadline was August 1st, 8 weeks would be September 26th. Assuming the approximately gives them a little cushion, hearing back in October is consistent with what's listed online.

The deadline this year was August 15th.

The deadline this year was August 15th.

This is clearly not what is stated online or what I was told when I turned in my application in person. Did you turn in your application after the 1st? Did they extend the deadline? Regardless, 8 weeks from the 15th still means everybody should be receiving a notification now.

Oh, yes. I did turned it in after the first. I called the office and they told me that they extended until the 15th.

I just called and spoke with someone in the health division office. They told me that the notifications have started going out but wont finish until next week because the person sending them out is not there the remainder of this week. They said that you dont take the TEAS unless you are accepted or an alternate and they also send out rejection letters so we will know either way.
