Hey all! So I am currently in the process of applying for jobs and have recently applied to a job at a unit I’d love to work on, except the job is labeled as “Part-Time Flex.”
I’m wondering what Part-Time Flex means. For example, the job is labeled as 7pm-7am for 24 hours a week on a specific unit. Does this mean they can call you in after the amount of hours you work a week has been fulfilled? If you are “part time flex“ and the employer tries to call you in during a time that is not your scheduled hours, can you turn down coming in? How does part time flex differ from per-diem? My main concern is getting a job that will over work me since I plan to continue with schooling this upcoming fall and don’t want to end up in a situation where I am called in when I have school and can’t say no to the call-in.
I could not find much about it online, so any info is super helpful. Thanks so much! ?
