pampering after work????

As Nurses we take care of our patients and most of the topics we tend to discuss is about the work environment, patients and our experiences.

how about taking care of ourselves after a long day's work with tired and acheing body, esp feet...on the long run most of us are facing back problems, ugly veins in our legs and joint pains from standing long hours...

how about...we share how we take care of that....the body the legs and ur poor little feet....cos we tend to forget ourselves...

I've just started getting regular manicures and pedicures with massage.

After work, a lot of times I'll lie on the floor on my back and prop my feet on a chair. It actually feels good. Not sure it does anything though.

scented candles, jacuzzi tub, a glass of wine (if it's a really bad day the entire bottle!):beercuphe Of course, I am only kidding!

 Catch up on some much needed sleep.

:heartbeat Get a little exercise or ride my horses (my most favorite!)

:flowersfo Do a little gardening.

I have got to say I really do enjoy my time off to get some R & R.

Listen to relaxing music and smoke an occasional cig. on the way home, then I slather my back with icy hot and lay on the couch with my feet up, eat a little something then drift off to sleep. I would not survive without icy hot--all of our pillows and blankets always smell like peppermint!:chuckle
