which gender deals with blood and pain better?

:::sigh::: As a strong woman who can handle her pain pretty well, I hate to say this, but . . . MEN.

Oh, really men deal with pain and blood better --- eh????

i suppose that is why childbirth is a female function???? rofl.

:rotfl:

I see no point to this thread/poll whatsoever except to stir up the poop. therefore, no vote from me. Generalizations have no place in nursing whatsoever.

Why should anyone have to "deal" with pain anyway? Is that what you tell your patients? Just deal with it? :)

oh brother.

I second that.

As a former hospice nurse, I see no difference in how each gender experiences pain.

I did, however, see quite a few husbands, sons, and brothers who pressured their wives, mothers and sisters to not take any pain medicine and to "buck up."

In a couple of cases, I saw male DPOAs totally refuse to allow their female relatives be medicated for pain and these women suffered terribly.

I never saw a woman deny a spouse or male relative pain relief.
