oy!

why why why?!!!!?? i want out of floor nursing, but all job postings are floor, travel, or hospice nursing. i have looked my my city's website, multiple companies, etc and i cant find anything. i'm getting so frustrated, i dont know what to do, i have applied to numerous places with no response, most with just the job posting and no company so I cant follow up. I want 8-5, something like risk management, or quality assurance, i like desk jobs. I graduated in dec. 07 with a BSN and really dislike where i work right now (floor nursing), i have been looking since april and am getting really frustrated, i get sick to my stomach when i think about going to work, my relationships are suffering and when im home at night i spend about 80% of the time searching job sites in hopes there is a new job posted since i checked the day before. i dont know how much longer i can keep working like this!

Don't give up, continue to search. Don't forget the smaller hospitals and nursing facilities in your area. Also, you might want to think about becoming a school nurse for a while to get out of the hospital and off of the floor. That way you'll be closer to what you want in terms of work hours and atmosphere.
