So we had orientation today. I thought everything went great. The director of nursing explained the program and she stressed not working during the first trimester because doing so will probably lead to failure. I thought that my interview went great. Out of 40 people for our orientation 15 people didn't show. There was one more orientation class after ours. I don't know how big that class was. The director said that the entrance salary for LPN's in Nashville is typically 25-28 dollars an hour for nursing homes and a little less for hospitals. I had no idea nursing homes paid so much for LPN's. That was a pleasant surprise. They told us that the acceptance letters will go out no later than November 25th. So now it becomes a waiting game.

Im glad it went well for you, now the hard part....... waiting!!! Good luck to you!! Did you interview with any instructors when you were there?
Yes, the waiting is going to kill me. Yeah, I did interview with an instructor. I thought it went very well. She was super nice. We made great conversation and I was able to answer all of her questions with confidence.

Shord- weird- I got my acceptance letter already, and we don't go to orientation until later this month. Was this a pre-admission conference that you went to? I'm confused.
Anyhow, good luck. My husband and I have toyed with moving to the Nashville area for years (probably Henderson). It's good to know the wages are good in that area, Definitely helps sway my future plans...

This was an orientation/interview. If we are accepted, we go to a preregistration day to order uniforms and not sure what else. Then we go to a registration day and get books, uniforms, etc. The orientation/interview was to give an overview of the program, to turn in any information that our files were missing, and to interview with an instructor. I guess you could call it a pre-admission, but the letters that they sent to us stated that it was an orientation/interview.
