Organization/planners

Anyone that uses planners, what do you do to stay most organized. I have one but don't feel like I use it too well. Looking for suggestions to not feel so overhwhelmed.

I use my planner for school assignments/tests and for appts. I have an Erin condren planner than I love to look at because it's plastered with pictures of my kids and it makes me happy to look at and I'm more inclined to use it. I write down ALL of my exams in each class when I get my syllabus each semester and every class is a different color. My Drs appointments and other appointments are all one color that aren't school related. It makes my month bright and colorful, I just love it. I wouldn't have survived this semester without my planner. I had way too much going on to remember just in my head. I don't know how I did it successfully before I got this thing. It is my lifeline to sanity.

I use my phones calendar app... Set it to alarm and vibrate to remind me by annoying me to do stuff.

I have a lilly pulizter planner, think I'm going to try EC next year and see which I prefer. From the reviews I believe they're pretty similar. I just haven't found an easy way to organize mine yet..I watched a you tube video last night. Ha
