Ordering from Allheart.com

I plan on ordering my stethoscope from Allheart.com. I have heard they are a bit slow with shipping. What exactly does that mean? I plan on having my scope personalized, any idea on how long it will take to be delivered? Any personal experience?

I got a personalized steth from them - it took about a month and then I was unhappy with the engraving - I felt it was illegible. They said they would redo it so we returned it, but they sent it back to us saying there was no error so they would NOT redo it. Very dissappointed overall.

I ordered my steth from allheart.com and didnt have any issues with shipping- think I got it within a few weeks, but it wasnt personalized. I think if you give yourself enough time I wouldnt worry about it.

I have heard about the slow shipping for a while from different people. I ordered my Cardio III from Steeles for two reasons:

1) Same price as allheart, faster shipping. My engraved took less than 10 days.

2) They engrave the bell, not the tubing. Tubing can be replaced, wiped off, covered. The bell IS the steth.

thanks for your thoughts....I just ordered from Steeles.com

I just ordered from allheart.com two days ago and my order has shipped. I beleive the slow shipping is due to the fact they are using DHL @ home which sends it to the Post Office to be delivered to you. Not sure if they do this for larger orders as well but that is how mine is coming. We all know post office deliveries can sometimes take awhile...This was my first purchase from allheart, but I expect my shipment sometime next week and I don't think thats bad at all.

if you would really have the time to buy, i suggest that you buy personally from the stores, at least you have a wide range of choices/ options. its not that i dont like ordering online, but for me what you see is not necessarily what you get. i'm practically speaking because every cent is valuable.

Hello,

Wished that I discover this forum before placing the order with Allheart. My steth is still in the "process" of shipping and it has been a month already. Please save yourself the hassle and just order it through Steele or Amazon.

Hmm, that's strange. I've never ordered a stethoscope from them but I get ALL my scrub (tons), shoes, and other goodies. Pretty much everything I wear or use at work.

I've NEVER had any sort of problem with them. Maybe what you ordered was out of stock???

I've used Redding Medical and Steele's, and been very pleased with both of them.

I too ordered from Allheart previously and had no problems. I got my Littmann Master Classic II stethoscope engraved with my name and it looked ok. Years ago they engraved the hard eartubes. Now it looks like they only engrave the soft tubing which I don't think is effective. Easily wiped/scratched off etc.

I upgraded my scope a few months ago to a Littmann Cardio III and got it from Steeles.com

Steeles engraves the bell which is very nice. The bell can't be easily replaced if stolen seeing as how it's the most expensive part of the whole stethoscope.

If you're looking to get your new scope engraved, I'd go with Steeles. They are very close in prices to everyone else too.

It's so ironic that you posted this question. My husband and I just had a go-around with them on my steth order. He ordered me one (Master Cardiology- the one he knew I desired) for Christmas and didn't get it until Jan 9th. It wasn't engraved liked he paid extra for so we called and were told to return it for engraving and to expect it back in 6-10 days. It was over 2 weeks later and no scope so we called. Was told it was just recieved and was sent for engraving. Not so, since we had signature confirmation that they recieved it 3 days after we returned it. :crying2: Well, we called everyday and kept getting automated messages. I sent them an email and explained that we expected better service since we have heard all good things about them and as healthcare providers would be repeat customers. Well, less than a week later, my scope arrived engraved as ordered. I'm very happy with it :D, but as you have already found, their shipping has a lot to be desired; and they used FedEx with tracking numbers.

I'm happy you have recieved your scope and hope you're happy with it. I'm still going to be ordering from them but for my own future reference, I'll order plenty in advance. :twocents:
