I am going to take a CA travel assignment.
Has anyone worked ER at Natividad Hospital in Salinas or Sierra Med Center in Grass Valley?.
These are the first two hospital choices I"ve been given so far.
Any feedback would be appreciated.
Thanks

I have not worked at NMC but I live in the area and know many who have/do. There are mixed feelings, you either love it or hate it. It's always busy, never a slow moment, but there is apparently a good sense of cohesiveness amongst the staff. There is a very high population of low-income pts, being the county hospital, and the care is excellent.
At the moment NMC is having money problems, but if you're going there as a traveler it will not affect you.
Thanks for the info. I've nixed the NMC job as they wanted someone who would float to ICU and Med Surg..
Oh, that's a shame, but I understand. I wouldn't want to float either!
