Ontario BScN Accelerated Program Fall 2022

Hello future nursing students,

I just wanted to make a post as we enter the new academic year, and more importantly the next admission cycle. Hopefully through this post we can all share our admission experiences, concerns, and achievements.

To begin with, I am currently a University of Toronto student completing my final year! I am hoping to apply to UBC, UofT, Nipissing, Western, and Trent. Just waiting on applications to open up! I am slightly worried I may not get in because admission is so competitive, and seeing those with 3.9+ not get in can be very scary.

How about you? Are you excited for the new school year? Any concerns for the admission process? Let's get through this together

Just got an offer from Western, but will be declining so hopefully the spot goes to someone else!

Did they call you, or did you check the portal?

They sent me an email saying congratulations, that I've been admitted. The offer is also on the portal

yes, this is correct! I accepted McMaster & I didn’t even realize my status changed on Nippising.

But, then they emailed me about a position becoming available & once I emailed them saying I was interested in the position, my status changed on webadvisor to offered admission! ? So it 100% does not affect your offer at all!

Oh I see! Good to know ? Thanks guys!

Hi everyone! For those going to Nipissing, does anyone know when our final transcripts have to be sent in by?

Hi, for those going to UofT, how are you guys sending your transcripts? Through a request on OUAC or through your school? I'm from Western FYI. Thanks!

Yep, it showed up today ?

Does anyone know if there is a grade cut off to get accepted off of the waitlist for Western?

Were you put on the waitlist from Western? I haven’t heard anything else yet.

There's no grade cut off. If you're on the waitlist you're good enough for the admissions team... You just need a spot to open. The waiting list is ranked (not sure if it's just by GPA or if there's some sort of algorithm incorporating Casper). So it all comes down to how many people accept spots elsewhere!!

Good luck

I am an out-of-province student, so I sent mine through my school. It shows as received on the applicant status portal.
