Online Nursing programs please?????

Hello everyone!!

I am trying to save someone from giving up. An online nursing program will be the best fit for her at this point of time in her life. She already has a BS degree in another field and could also do an accel. online nursing program. Any ideas??? I really don't want her to give up.

Please help!! She said she doesn't know if she can do another round of applying.

Thanks for your help!!

I don't know of any online/distance accelerated BSN options for non-nurses. Sorry.

There are no totally online schools for someone with no healthcare experience. The most popular distance program is Excelsior College, http://www.excelsior.edu, but she would have to obtain an LPN license first. If she lives in CA, she can look into WGU, http://www.wgu.edu. Once she has completed all the prerequisites through an AS or BS degree, and at least has a CNA certificate, she can enter the clinical portion of the program. This program is very doable for someone who has the college background. HTH

There is one, but the accept so few students that I was trying to find another one.

Thank you!!

I have found that excelsior is better for me because of being able to study when I want and test when I want. I can work the program around my life and schedule!

It would be ideal but they are not taking nurses from that school here in GA.
