Online Micro with Lab

Can anyone recommend a college that offers a 4 credit micro with lab, preferably in Texas?

Thanks!

I used Barton Community College. It's a 5 Credit class. They offer both semester courses and accelerated 1/2 session courses. I did the accelerated course and it is a lot of reading. I did the same with A&P I & II and scored 92 on the HESI in A & P.

Wow! A 92 on the HESI in A&P? Impressive!!!

Thanks! Just trying hard. I'm pursuing nurse late in life and want to be prepared. I have applied to school and will find out if I'm accepted late next month for a January start. With a full time job and a family, I need to make the most of the opportunity.

I don't know if you're religious. If you are I'll pray for you, if you aren't I'll cross my appendages for you.

Hello,

If you live in Texas and are planning to apply for a nursing school in Texas, I would suggest you take the course from the University of Texas at Arlington. They have the accelerated BSN program online. However, the requirement is that you must already have a bachelor degree. The course is 8 weeks long and everything is online including the simulated lab. Some of the nursing schools in Texas like Collin College will review your class' syllabus if you take prerequisite classes online from an out of state school to see if the class meets the requirement. However, they won't review the class' syllabus if it is from another school in Texas. Please ask the nursing school to see if they will accept the credits from the whatever online school you choose to take the class. Good luck to you. :-)

Alternative Transfers for Nursing Prelicensure | WGU

^^ This page lists online prerequisites that WGU accepts. Scroll down to the three parallel columns and at the bottom of the "Prerequisites" column, click on the "More about Prerequisites" button. Each of the prerequisites listed will open up a list with live links and many of them can be started immediately.

Of course, you need to make sure that YOUR school will accept them, but it's a good start.

Unfortunately, I do not have a previous Bachelor's degree.

Thank you though!
