Online application status

Hi all. Does anyone know about online status changes? After I applied for a job, a status changed to yellow for one day without any description. The next day the yellow highlighting went away. Does it mean its not considered anymore?

    There are a zillion different varieties of online employment applications, so there isn't really any way to answer your question without knowing what software application they are using. There should be some sort of user assistance link on the application - with guidance and help.... but I have discovered that very few of them actually have this feature. Heaven forbid that they would include a link to contact an actual human being, right? Online apps are ghastly. The only value they add is to discourage people from even applying in the first place.... ugh!

    If you can get past the electronic maze, your best bet is to try to call someone in HR and ask them the significance of the color coding. Good luck!

    I know one of the places I applied it was yellow when there was a "change" or just a new application. Once it was seen by the applicant, it went away until the next status change. Good luck!
