On hold PVT

Nursing Students NCLEX

I tried PVT but the pop up said the result is on hold. What does it mean?

It means your results are on hold. It does not indicate pass or fail. Pearson must review your exam, keystrokes, whiteboard(s) and audio/video from your test.

This can happen for a variety of reasons such as

1. Rule violations (major such as cell phone use or found to have study materials in the center or more minor such as standing up instead of raising hand, writing on white board before tutorial is over )

2. Issues with ID or scans (problems with palm or thumb scan, quality of id photo vs photo from BoN (don't laugh I know someone who sent a Glamour Shot to the BoN she was flagged because there was not enough resemblance between the made up retouched Glamour Shot, her drivers license and her sweatsuit wearing, no make up just got out of bed in person presentation), etc.

3. Computer glitches (getting signed into one PC and having to switch (before or during test) to another terminal, power brown outs, etc)

4 random QA audit (rare)

5 unusual testing pattern such as finishing much quicker or slower than statistically expected

Or any other anomaly as determined by Pearson Vue and/or NCSBN.

There is nothing you can do but hurry up & wait for the audit to be completed. The results will not be sent to the BoN until the hold is released ( nor will quick results be available ). Most holds are resolved within 48-72 hours. Some quicker some longer.

It does not mean anything and it happened to me too.I got the hold pop up the whole day and next morning it took me to the CC page.

Good luck with ur result.

I took the NCLEX RN september 5th, had 265 questions and was on hold. My results were of hold because my fingerprints not scanned properly. I had to wait thurs till tues to find out I was sent to the CC page. Huge bummer but I also could not complain because I did prepare the way I should have and tested too quick because I couldnt wait to pass. I waited 45 days and $300 later, I PASSED today 10/23/13. I am now officially an RN. I pray you will have a pass once the hold if lifted and not have to endure the stress I caused myself. I have read of a few recent nurses on here that were on hold and did PASS. So stay positive!!

I took my nclex pn in the 21st and my results were on hold because of my palm vein scan. After going back and getting it done the next day and calling Pearson they finally took the hold off yesterday and i got the good pop up! also gave me a link for quick results but i refuse to pay another penny to them...good luck!
