On call pay

Hi! Does anyone take call as part of the job? I work as a hospitalist NP and we are extending into post acute care. NPs are being asked to take overnight call on the post acute patients. This is not part of our current compensation package. What is a fair amount for call pay?

Thank you!

I'm in psych and depending on the facility I get $300-$500 for 5pm-8am with no requirement to ever go on site.

Jules:

If you happen to get called, do you get extra pay above the $300 to $500? Just curious.

Thanks in advance.

Jules - is that $300-500 per NIGHT????

We used to get $500/weekend when we did call - we saw hospitalized pts from 0700-1900

I'm on call for an outpatient practice. I rarely get called and never have to go into the office. I do not get paid extra for this-all of the providers rotate call and it's part of the job duties.

Yeah per night 5pm-8am, lol. My weekend rate for rounding only not including the overnight call is $150 an hour as an employee.
