Ok...starting to panic. Help! You who passed!

Published

I'm taking my nclex rn next Thursday. Here's what I've done to study:

:angryfire for the past month I've reviewed Saunders content (every chapter) and done the quiz at the end of each chapter. I get around 60-75% correct on most chapters.

:uhoh3: I've done the Mosby's analysis and it said I had a 92% chance of passing

 I've reviewed a Kaplan book front to back and got 71% correct on the written test in the back, but only 62% correct on the CD-ROM

Here's what I'm going to do between now and the test:

Do my Saunder's CD-ROM 'till I'm blue in the face

:lol2: Do my Saunder's comprehensive test in the back of the book

 Review lab values and major content chapters (cardio, pulmonary, endocrine, etc.)

Is this enough? I am an overachiever who has never gotten less than 80% on any test in her life and I am FREAKING OUT about this 62% stuff. Thos of you who have passed, how well did you perform on these practice tests?

Help me help me help me! I was totally mellow about this whole thing until today!!!

It sounds like you've studied hard and that you're ready to go. I go on friday the 7th and like you I'm also freaking out. I was fine until yesterday and I started to freak bad... I'm talking a tachy heart rate of 110-130 all day just couldn't shake the feeling of anxiety. However I am doing a little better today. I been giving myself positive affirmations all day and that really helps . Between now and friday I plan to study some main diseases, infection precautions, and labs. I may do a few more test but other than that I'm just going to try to relax and stay calm. My SON paid for us to have the Kaplan review and we used ATI throughout school. I have made between 62-71% on Kaplan trainer tests, and I hope that's good enough. Everyone in my class that has taken NCLEX said it's just like Kaplan and they have all passed!!! Someone on this board give this web site http://info.med.yale.edu/ynhh/infection/ and it's a great review on precautions and everyone has saaid that there is alot of infection control this year.

Just try to stay calm I'm sure you'll do great. I'll be praying for you... let us know how it goes.:icon_hug:

Hi guys,

I'm the one that shared the IC site. I'm tellen ya, mosby's prioritization and delegation book is all I used the last few days before th NCLEX. I passed last tuesday and that book made all the reviewing come together and I tell ya, those type of questions in the book were on my exam.

GOOD WISHES,

April :yeah:

thank you for the advice and good luck to you too!!!

Will this book help with the NCLEX-PN also? Thanks!

Melissa
