Ohlone Fall 2013 RN program hopefuls

Anyone, anyone?! I turned my application in this week, super excited! Hoping the applicant pool will be small since this is the first year certain pre reqs have to be completed, and not in progress. Ohlone has such a great reputation in the bay for their nursing program, it would be amazing to get into. Can't wait to hear in the next few weeks!

Hey there!!! I am super excited as well!! I just took the TEAs today and as soon as the results come in I will be submitting my application. I met with Jack Peters last week and believes that not even 120 people will be applying this year. So our chances are very good. Can't wait. This is my 2nd time applying and hopefully my last:yes: :yes:

Hi jstrawberry. I am super excited. Thanks for the info, that is AWESOME, but I don't want to get too excited though in case I don't get in. I know people that tried 5 years in a row to always be on the bottom of the lottery, and I know people who have gotten in their first try. Is this the firsttime taking your TEAS? I ask since Ithink they nlytake the first score. I took it a few months ago and got a good score that put me in the 97th percentile. Hey ShariB!! You did an amazing job on the TEAS. Last Saturday was the first time that I have taken the TEAs. The anticipation is killing me!!! This will be the second time I have applied to Ohlone. Last year I was # 138 on their list. I have also applied to San Mateo, Los Mendanos and Merritt CC. If I don't get into Ohlone I am going to be disappointed. Right now I live close to Merritt but I would consider it a nightmare to go there. I am so afraid that I will be stuck having to go there.

I applied to Merritt, Los Medanos, and San Mateo too. We should be hearing from Merritt soon. I was waitlisted at #86 for San Mateo, what about you? Merritt is my last choice, but I would rather go there than nowhere. Los Medanos said they won't have the lottery until the end of May most likely. Really REALLY hoping for Ohlone. Good luck to us! You should find out your TEAS score soon, maybe even tomorrow. Just keep checking their website for it to post!

And the wait begin. Funny thing though, Saturday I went to drop my application off in the drop box and upon doing so I found another application that had not dropped. I hope everyone was extra careful...

Yikes, I think I checked the door on the drop box like 5 times to confirm my application dropped before I could walk away (OCD much? LOL!). When you have put so much hard work into an application like Ohlone's you better make sure you put it in the right place!
