Where you haven't successfully put in an IV in 6 months (well it's ICU, most of em have lines)...and you get two in one night on the first try in patients that have already been poked a bunch and people think you're a rock star, when it was just dumb luck.
Now for the next 6 months before I have that much luck again....

Congrats!
I think IV's are like riding a bike. One you've done enough, it becomes second nature.

YAY!!! For you!
But I found it curious...some days I could start IV's in a rock! and some days I couldn't hit the side of a barn...even after doing if for years....just depended on the day!
That's how I feel too. I feel like it's shooting pool, I have days where I can't miss a ball and win every game, and other days where I look like I've never even held a pool stick. :)

Same with me. I did well for a bit and then couldn't hit a thing! Now, I work in behavioral health and never get the chance to even try.
Me too, I work case management now, it's hard to start an IV in a computer screen...teehee
I really miss it..I loved IV's!!!!
