OCVTS Student

Anyone starting the September 2015 LPN program at OCVTS-Toms River? So far I passed the TEAS, finished criminal background check, along w/ drug screening. Met up w/ Financial Aid, all set. Now have my interview April 13th! I am psyched. Was looking for people who are in the same boat as me, and possibly future study buddies :)

Hi Penny, I'll be starting Fall 2015 as well. I have my interview on April 1st. I'm excited and nervous to start the program.

Yay!!! I know I am going to need it. Haha. We will definitely study t/g! Aren't you so excited? I wish we were starting next week! Although I know I'd regret that when the time came. Lol

@PennyMT yes I was in the program and failed out last year I miss it so much but I made it far so I know exactly what to expect. I am so excited to get back and make it through. Can't wait to meet you. I just did my back ground check and doing the drug test tomorrow in Brick. We got this

GLegrandesGirl, Well I am glad you made it back to the program :). I can't wait to start! How was it? When do we usually start getting scrubs? Do I purchase now? I am on a budget, so I am trying to buy stuff a little at a time.

You will need the blues by the 18th of September for lab the whites you don't need until clinical orientation in Nov sometime. I understand about a budget it's tough because you have to study so working full time won't work. So do what you can now if possible

GLegrandesGirl, Thanks for the info! So I got time, that makes me feel a lot better. Lol. Heard scrubs cost a lot, but also heard that the office has some old scrubs from previous students we can use... if we aren't grossed out. Lol. I might get my own, but not sure, depends on my finances at the time. I'm not working FT, and won't be. But I will be working a PT job, which I am trying to do now. I heard it's hard working and going to Nursing school, and I am the type of person that takes the extra hours to study b/c I have to... so working would be a hard option right now. Come on 5 months!!! I am ready for this...

You and me both. I need to study as much as possible, and I know what to expect. We will be fine. Yes I am so ready to get started. I work full time now but I am going part time in august so i can really focus. I cant do this again. its hard the first time. See you soon what do your last name start with so because orientaion go by lastname a-l 9am m-z 1pm just wondering if we will be together.
