OCCC Spring 2016

I think that with 17 points you should have no problem getting into the Fall semester. If I don't get accepted I will also have 17-18 points by next application period. And if I still don't get in then, I will try for their 1+1 program. Which is appealing to me anyways because it would be nice to work while working on my RN.

Has anyone received an acceptance letter yet?

Hey everyone! I applied with 15 points for Spring 2016. I've been hearing the past cut offs have been around 16 points though. If I don't get in this semester, I'll reapply for the Fall '16 class with around 17-18 pts! If anyone hears anything about acceptance letters, let the rest of us know please!! :)

I just called the admissions office. Apparently they're at the second round of going through the applications and we MIGHT get an email at the beginning of next week, but the lady that answered the phone was not entirely certain. It's weird though... Last year and the year before they didn't take over 5 weeks to get an answer back.

Did she say how many people applied?

No idea. She really didn't know much about it, just that they were in the final phase of the decision.

Hey guys, I went on a nursing lab tour last Thursday organized by the Health Professions Club. While I was there the nursing coordinator told us that for Spring 2016, the lowest points accepted was 12. She said the emails should be coming out early this week.

Oh wow.. That makes me feel really confident then. That's a lot less than I thought would be accepted.

She said it's really low because a lot of people are waiting to apply for next fall because they didn't think they would have enough points for the spring. When she said 12 I was like what? lol It does seem very low but I don't think she would have said 12 unless she knows for sure thats the number since she works in the nursing department. Her name is Cindy Milam she is the nursing lab coordinator.

So the week is halfway over... Has it been as long for everyone else as it has been for me?

Yes!!!!! It is taking forever to find out. I hope it is sometime today!
