OCCC BADNAP Spring 2023

I too have applied to the BADNAP program for Spring 2023. I'm honestly not to thrilled with my advisor...I shall not name names! VERY slow to respond to emails; if at all. The electronic application was pretty straight forward, but it would be nice to know if someone will look over it to determine if it was prepared correctly. I would hate for the deadline to pass and found out I didn't get accepted because of a technicality! Anyway, I'm new to allnurses and nursing in general. But I've done enough patient care and childcare to know it'll be a good fit for me. Anxiously, looking forward to the acceptance date? Have you seen anything about when a determination will be made?

I agree with you on the advisory issues. I met with one advisor. I really liked prior to applying to OCCC and I have met with her since starting my prerequisite classes just to get told she isn’t my advisor and I need to meet with someone else. My assigned advisor is never available and does not respond to my emails.

Are you applying with all your prerequisites completed or are you currently enrolled in some of your prerequisites? How did you do on your TEAS exam?

From what I had heard about previous application periods, is that they do not inform anyone until exactly 6 weeks following the deadline.

TEAS score was 83. Sadly, science pulled down my other scores! I took a lot of prerequisites 10+ years ago, so I was rusty, especially in A&P. Unfortunately, they didn't like my History class from my Bachelor's so I'm taking that now and then Government in October. I took Micro and Nutrition this Summer and made A's in those. Hopefully I'll still make the cut! How about you, prereqs done?

I got an 83 as well! My science section brought be down a little bit because I took Chemistry about 5 years ago and I felt like there were a lot of Chemistry questions. I am currently taking taking micro and nutrition since my nutrition class did not transfer. I will be taking government in October as well! I have a pretty decent GPA from my bachelors degree so I am hoping it’s enough to get in!

Hello guys! I applied the first week of October for the Spring window, tier 1 with a 3.1 GPA and 87 TEAS score. Hopefully that is good enough. I also had some difficulties with advisement and luckily even caught the school making a mistake and losing one of my transcripts which would have gotten my app declined immediately. I am feeing pretty good about us getting in because it seems like they’re not as many applications as there have been in the past.. maybe?? I didn’t see many people taking the TEAS last minute when I was in there Oct 5. Could be a good sign? Looking forward to hopefully meeting everyone!

Hope you're right about fewer applicants! I think being Tier 1, you've got a very good shot. Good luck!

This Friday is the 4 week mark. I heard 4-6 weeks but I have some friends in the traditional program who say sometimes it takes closer to 6 weeks to hear back. I saw your comment come in my email inbox and my heart dropped because I thought it was related to the program! Haha

Found out my application was ineligible because I'm supposedly missing transcripts. Someone messed up! I had all my transcripts sent this Spring! I guess I have a few days to get it figured out....
