OCC Uniforms

Hello everyone!

My apologies if this is a silly question.

Anyway, for those in the OCC program, does the brand of uniform matter for the program? I noticed the bookstore sells the Landau brand. Certain brands fit me better than others.

Just curious ...

as long as it's olive green and the color is match for your entire outfit. It should be fine.

I tried on different brand also but couldn't find the same lab jacket that match the color. So I have to go with Landau. I have 2 sets because my clinical is on Thur and Fri morning and I don't think I will have time to do laundry after.

Thanks for the info, jaaaey77!

I dont really like the style of our uniforms, if that is the reason you want to shop around. Let us know if you find anything and what the prices are. I think the pants and jacket are almost $40 at the bookstore.

Just made sure the color of the lab coat and pants match the one that sell at bookstore. I have heard from few people who is in RN program and used to be said that one of their peers was wearing darker or lighter color. The instructor mentioned that they had to change and get the new sets!!!! It's insane, I know. But get it right at the first time, because you don't want to spend more than you have to. Like I mentioned before, "Nursing school" is all about time, energy and $$$ that you have to spend!

I'll have to take a look at the uniforms in the bookstore to match the color. Also, are the uniforms/badges the same for both the Southfield and Highland Lakes campuses?

Thanks again!

Well, there are two patches-one for RN, it says Associate's degree and the other is LPN, it says Licensed practical nurse.

Hello again!

I stopped by the OCC Southfield bookstore the other day and believe I saw that there were white and olive green lab jackets.

So, could someone please verify exactly what the nursing student uniform is? Is it white scrub top, olive green lab jacket, and olive green pants?

Thanks!

Thanks for the pic, jaaaey77!

However, in another thread, someone said that the patches go on the left shoulder of the scrub top and lab jacket. I noticed your patch was on the right. Could you please clarify as to where the patches go?

Thanks in advance!
