Quick question - are calculators given at all? I have been practicing but math is not my area!
I meant the nursing proficiency test of course.

Sorry no calculators allowed. The test is not that bad so don't freak out about it. Everyone of my classmates that had problems in math passed with no problem. If you are really worried, you can take a practice test that will not count against you and any problems that you get incorrect you can work on with a tutor.

You can download a practice test from the OCC website too--pretty much identical to the real deal. If you can do the practice test without much stress, you'll do fine on the actual MPT. Good luck!!

Can you take the MPT before you are admitted to the Nursing program or does it have to be done afterwards?
You must take it in order to apply to the program. OCC has a nursing checklist that you must complete with a counsler in order to apply. The checklist consist of the MPT, the nursing information session, and the 11 prereqs that you must take before you are allowed to apply.
Okay great thanks! Are all 11 courses online on their website for me to see? because I thought I only need English and the sciences before I could apply. Maybe I read wrong. I am sure I have the others as well though too
Yes it is listed on the OCC nursing website. In order to be considered a Priority I applicant you must complete the 11 prereqs.
