NYIT Fall 2016 Nursing Program

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

I got accepted into NYIT (new york institute of technology) fall 2016 nursing program.

I was wondering if anyone else has gotten into their program. Did you already register for your classes for the Fall semester? Is Bio-Organic Chem a hard subject ?

I wanted to know if anyone is going to be dorming or do you live close to the school?

I already registered for 4 classes already, Bio-Organic Chem, Anthropology, Human devoplement and Foundations of Inquiry. The nursing courses starts next spring, 2017

Hey, I'm considering the school as well. Were you a transfer student? How long was the admissions process? What was your gpa and other things that they looked for to be admitted into the program?

hey, I was a transfer student, I transferred from Farmingdale with about 40-50 credits. The admission process took about 4-5 weeks. First they sent me an email accepting me and then I got my acceptance package in the mail about a week later.

My GPA was a 3.1 (pretty low), But NYIT accepts you with a GPA as low as 2.75 (thats the requirement).

I also received a Transfer Scholarship for 11,000 a year. Which is pretty good because NYIT is expensive !!!!

Thing you need in order to be admitted to the program:

- college/high school transcripts

- 300-350 word essay explaining your desire to work in the nursing field

- 2 reference letter

- C+ or better in the science courses you completed

AND

- Minimum GPA of 2.75

Awesome, the advisor said I have to submit it by October for Spring, did you do all that already?

Just got my acceptance letter for spring 2017 and can't find any info from current student about the program. Hope to get a few scholarships

Hi, can you tell me your experience so far in their nursing program such as housing, costs, campus life? And when you transferred did you transfer straight into the 2 year bsn program? Thanks!

@taya is that your pre req gpa or cumulative? Also how is the program so far?
