NVCC applying for Fall of 2014. Class of 2016

Hey guys,

I started this thread in hopes of connecting with people who applied for the Traditional Nursing program at NVCC. I have been corresponding with them via e-mail and am anxiously awaiting an acceptance letter. Hope everyone else submitted their applications without issue! Maybe we can cheer each other on :)

Hope to hear form you all with questions, concerns and comments!

Hopefully we won't have to worry about Shenandoah tho. Don't worry (HA easier said than done), I'm sure your gpa/teas scores are good! Especially if everyone got in last year. We probably had the same teacher...I took it at Annandale 2 years ago. Some people in my class went to the dean and complained, the following semester she was no longer teaching in Annandale. Idk if the nursing program will tell us the reason if we don't get in. At least we all passed the teas! We're one step closer to being accepted just cause of that :-)

I really hope so! Yeah GPA wise I'm over the 2.5 and with teas I did pretty well too so I hope so. It'll be nice if we all can get in like the class of last years did. Haha maybe that's the same professor then because they randomly decided to add micro at the manassas campus even though we never had it so she prob moved there lol. Yes you're right thankfully that's done and over with. That test was killer!

BTW anyone who has received the email with the attachment regarding orientation details as well as things needed to be done prior to starting the program if accepted, did you notice the part where is says we need Individual professional liability insurance? Anyone know where to purchase and roughly how much it will cost? I swear nursing school expenses are a lot

Thanks for starting this thread. I'm going crazy waiting to find out an answer or not. Tomorrow is exactly 4 weeks after the application due date. I hope I get in, but by this point I'm ready to know one way or the other. I need to make plans soon!

Everyone check your email! I just got my provisional acceptance letter! I am so excited!!!! I hope everyone else got in as well :)

Congrats slt0006! I got my provisional acceptance letter as well :D

WHOOO!!! CONGRATS GUYS! I TOO GOT MINES AS WELL!!! THIS IS SUCH A RELIEF! Anyone know if the nursing page is open on blackboard yet? I wonder how much the books are going to be as well!

Just kidding I totally just saw the bottom part saying it isn't available yet. But can't wait to meet you all during the orientation!

Ahhh yay I got in too!!! :-) I couldn't be more excited. I hope everyone else is accepted!! Can't wait to start nursing school together!

I also got my acceptance letter!! I've been jumping up and down since! :D

I got my provisional letter too :-) :-) :-) :-) I am so excited I hope everyone got in lpn_rn .

Hey Everyone,

I got my provisional letter of acceptance as well :-) Anyone have an idea of how much the book bundle is? I am very excited to finally start Nursing school! Lol very early but if anyone is interested in a study group- let me know. I plan on investing my sweat and energy into this program so I can do a guaranteed admission to a masters program at either George Washington or UVA. Congratulations to those who got in and cant wait to meet some of you at orientation!
