Nursing Support

Specializes in Nursing Support.

Hello Everyone! This is my first time on allnurses. So I am not totally sure if this is allowed but I wanted to share my podcast with everyone. I am an acute care nurse and created my podcast to discuss various topics in nursing and some of the struggles we all face on the job. I know allnurses is a wonderful place nurses can find support and figured it would be a good place to reach any nurse who may benefit from listening to my podcast.

I can appreciate discussing various topics in nursing and the struggles we all face. And please pardon my ignorant perspective, but aren't podcast like, one sided?

I am so like not into the 21st century!

I looked up the definition of podcast and found "a digital audio file made available on the internet for downloading to a computer or mobile device, typically available as a series, new installments of which can be received by subscribers automatically".

The definition of discussion is "a conversation or debate about a certain topic". Like, between two or more individuals.

It seems to me that a podcast would be one sided, like a lecture and I have never been involved with a podcast.

We have discussions here on allnurses, which are, quite frankly, sometimes too much for me and I don't wish to get overloaded.

I'm truly not trying to be coy. I still listen to vinyl!

Good luck, MindfullyHonestRN!

Totally understand! Yeah the technical term of a podcast probably doesn't fit with the one I'm making. I guess I'm just making short audio clips about different struggles nurses face and kinda giving my perspective and personal experience!

Considering I'm a very shy person who could never speak in front of actual people LOL...a podcast is the best way I can get my message out there and maybe help a few fellow nurses!

I will do my best to keep it neutral and not too one sided.

I really so appreciate you insight ??
