Nursing Student: Venting

I'll just get straight to the point, I am over nursing school! I am in my last semester and I am completely tired. I have put a lot of time and dedication into my nursing program received excellent grades, done exceptionally well in clinical's due to my experience as an aide, but sometimes I feel like I am going to be a stupid nurse. We're currently doing our ATI Capstone on top of the other coursework and I feel overloaded and unprepared. Am I the only one who feels this way? I can't talk to anyone in my family about my problems because they do not understand. It has been said that there is light at the end of the tunnel, but gosh I am overwhelmed.

It happens to just about everyone. The days will pass, and this too will be over when it's over. Venting is good, but don't keep thinking about this too much-- give yourself permission to whine to yourself for, say, ten minutes every afternoon at 3pm, and then not again until tomorrow. This will take care of itself. :)

You're feelings aren't uncommon. This is the "crunch time" for all nursing students. Stay focused and don't get down. Your biggest concern will be the NCLEX come soon. Best of Luck!

Most soon to be graduates feel the way you do, whether they are in nursing or not.
