What is the jack of all trades nursing specialty? I am curious because is there actually a specialty that fits this type of description or should i just try any type of nursing specialty and be open to working in all of them?

Medial-surgical nursing is the jack-of-all-trades. The knowledge and skills utilized there are applicable to nearly any other setting (except OR).
Thank you so much for the info. I really appreciate it.

Emergency department! You take care of anyone with any problem that walks through the door, whether they are 5 days old or 105 years old.

I concur with meanmaryjean's view that medical-surgical nursing (a.k.a. med/surg) is the jack-of-all-trades specialty because med/surg nurses do a little bit of everything. Also, they are exposed to a little bit of everything.
