How hard is nursing? This is my first semester in nursing program and i think that the information is easy to process, but the work is a lot. Is this true? Any helpful hits?

How hard it is tends to be subjective.
I am in my first semester. I am preparing for my first test 2/3. I have implemented what I believe for me, is a sensible studying pattern. When my test grade comes back, i will evaluate if my pattern of studying results in a positive outcome. I find the reading to be boring, especially chapter 33 in the Taylor book on activity.

For me, the volume more than the content has been the challenge (though doable). The sheer volume of reading and assignments can be really overwhelming.
Content, the difficulty is very subjective, and will vary from person to person and topic to topic. Some will be more challenging than others.

I agree with RunBabyRun. I am in my second semester and it is just a lot of information. For me, it is hard to learn all about a disease and in addition then learn how to think like a nurse & know the exact priority intervention, etc.
Everyone has their strengths though so one may find Med Surg easy breezy while another can barely get through that same class.

I'm in the first semester as well. 4 weeks in, to be exact actually. I know it's only the beginning but I have not found the information difficult to grasp. Time consuming?! Yes.
It's a lot of reading though, so you need great time management skills to process all the new information.
I personally study 2 hours at the most per day and have been doing fine. I'll probably have to increase study time later on when the course becomes more difficult.
Good luck :)
