Hi and welcome,

Nursing school will probably be one of the hardest but most rewarding things you have ever done. Be prepared to spend as much time as you need to keep your grades up. Many things in your personal life may need to be temporarily put on hold but it will go really fast. Best of luck to you!

:redbeathethanks, a bunch for that info, i also wanted to know what to expect for the math in nursing school and the salary for starting nurses.

mskay--welcome and congrats on such an exciting future...I think if you check out the region button on the top right, and scroll down to LA you will find a TON of information on the schools in your area and lots of hints and tips on what to expect...

Here's a nice salary wizard. choose to search by job type, there's nurses under health care, about halfway down on the drop down menu.

As for the math...I thought it was pretty simple, shoot, you have to get through algebra and statistics before you hit nursing school...None of the nursing math was as hard as either of those. (IMHO)
