I am considering going to CCP for their nursing program. I graduated from East Stroudsburg University with a degree in Hotel, Restaurant and Tourism Management.
I know that I will not be able to begin the nursing program until September of 2010, but I would have to take about 6 courses before then to have all the required courses completed.
I was wondering if there are any CCP current or past students that could tell me if I even have a chance with getting into the school. I graduated high school with a GPA of 3.8 and took 4 years of science and math. In college I finished with a 3.1 GPA. I know I have to take this Allied Health Test. But, would I be wasting my time or would it be beneficial to me to apply?

I graduated from CCP in 1990-I too have a B.S.-not in Nsg, I chose the school because it had a great Nursing program and the tuition was inexpensive compared to other programs. When I went back to school for Nursing they did not have a Second Degree or Accelerated BSN programs-that also might be something to consider. Overall I thought I had a great experience at CCP. You should check soon with CCP-I hear there's always a waiting list-You definitely have a chance, with already having a Degree and good grades!--Good Luck!!

Always apply they can only say no, and then you go to the next. There are many paths that lead to where you want to go, if one path is blocked take another to get around the block in that path, and you will eventually end up in the place where you wanted to be.
