nursing resume

could you please help me with my resume? honestly i dont know how to write a resume. i am a new nurse, just took the board exam last june and passed. i dont have any experience yet..i want to apply as a staff or a clinical instructor.

anybody wants to send me a sample resume for nurses like me who dont have any experience yet.

You can put your schools you had attended and any awards received, board rating, since you don't have any work experience you can put the hospitals you had trained when you were a student, seminars and character reference.

I just want to advice that you should at least apply as a staff nurse first rather be a clinical instructor, I know the salary is better if your an instructor than a staff nurse but how can you teach nursing students if you don't have the sufficient experience.

You can use yahoo or google's search engine to look for a resume sample...

Oh by the way..... You can't be a CI if you dont have an MA or units in MA. Please abide by the law! And its better if you work in the hospital as staff nurse before becoming a CI. I think you'll be more effective if you do that....

Please try my suggestion. I found lots of resume sample in yahoo's search engine. Its really easy.... We can't post the whole resume here!

What I said about becoming a CI is true! If you dont know how to accept suggestions or dont listen to other people's views, I dont think you'll be a good nurse someday! Just giving a constructive criticism!

i totally agree with you dave. but if you are a nurse? you should at least try to do a research and not rely on people to spoonfeed you. you will never learn if you keep your ways like that, not trying to belittle you or anything. so, since you don't have any experience at all, you need a basic resume. and oh yes, google and yahoo is such a big help. all you need is to search it, goodluck!

one more thing! In MS word, they have this so called resume wizard I think. Its the basic format of resume. You can just follow that!

i agree with dave and everyone as well. i'm a new nurse too. and yes, i learned the basics from my technical writing class...so being new really has nothing to do with it.. especially that we all spent 4 years in college...nurses are resourceful and problem-solvers...we have to prove we indeed deserve to pass. i don't mean to be rude in any way... and yes, search engines are helpful! so i wish you luck in your search! it's ok to feel bad, but take the criticisms positively.
