nid advice to all NLE passers
hahaha, yeah w_padre, thanks for correcting me about the IMCI items, it's just that I never really gave much attention to them,.and yeah, test taking strategies do help...we were taught the POWER OF ELIMINATION. i forgot to mention that earlier..aside from PRIORITIZATION of course. Remember it's always easier to look for 3 wrong answers than 1 correct answer.Ciao!

nursing resume
i agree with dave and everyone as well. i'm a new nurse too. and yes, i learned the basics from my technical writing class...so being new really has nothing to do with it.. especially that we all spent 4 years in college...nurses are resourceful and problem-solvers...we have to prove we indeed deserve to pass. i don't mean to be rude in any way... and yes, search engines are helpful! so i wish you luck in your search! it's ok to feel bad, but take the criticisms positively. Smile!

Advise for new board passers on how apply to hospitals
ms. mithi..i would like to know...during the panel interview... do they tell you before hand what topics to be ready about? or not? coz we had that in our school too, but they provide us with 10 cases/ diseases which we'll review on... and the topic of which one will discuss depends on what he picks out from the container before the start of the oral exam... do they let you know what topics they have in mind or not? i'm really interested to know.thanks.

Job prospects in UK up for 500 RP nursing grads
i posted a reply on this, but i can't see it. anyway...yeah, i've seen this news on the net, and i even had myself sign up for the orientation. i was called by one agent in that company and gave me the details ... you know this is just, as i've said before, a wicked bait made up by some people who only like to earn in our expense! but curious as i was, i've not been contented with the information they gave me, so i did my own research on the company etc., and then later on, seen this feedback from the president of the PNA in UK explaining and clarifying all the misinformations that this ISALPI gave out. it is really disappointing to find out it's a fraud after all. but i'm thankful that this was made known to the public even before they can attract more victims... here is the link, read and spread it... you can see the feedback article coming from PNA UK below the news part... http://www.gmanews.tv/story/61325/Job-prospects-in-UK-up-for-500-RP-nursing-grads

Job prospects in UK up for 500 RP nursing grads
this article had already been answered and made clear by the PNA in UK. i was interested in this program too, had myself signed-in in their free orientation, and was scheduled two days from now. But of course, I wouldn't just rely on articles, so I did my own research about this and found out it was merely a wicked bait some people used to make naive filipino nurses fall into. who wouldn't want to earn what according to them was "P183, 000.00" monthly, anyway right?! Especially now that it's difficult to find a job even if you're already a nurse due to the overwhelming ratio of nurses in relation to job vacancies... I'm just thankful that I never trusted them completely. And so I do hope this would spread the whole nursing community in our country, esp in Manila (where the "company", that can't even give me a website i can visit,is holding it's orientation sessions to their unknowing victims)...I am really concerned too...

nid advice to all NLE passers
hi. i agree, same references still. i took the june 2007 licensure exam, and i can tell CA really had beaten the sanity out of me. Got myself crying at the end of the first day, because i never expected a lot and i mean a LOT would come out regarding CA. Although rumors were spreading that they'll focus on IMCI, I've only seen 2-4 questions pertaining to it. But we can never tell, which one they'll focus on next time. i suggest allowing more review schedule on weak areas, and refrain from day-to-day shifting of areas to study...going to CHN when you haven't finished the concepts of Med-Surg yet, can be very frustrating, . Plus, pay attention to subject areas which most examinees tend to neglect--that is Research, CHN and the likes. we can't be too sure what's it gonna be next time, so let me just say...don't take it too seriously, chill if you need to, and always pray and ask for His grace and guidance. Not everything will work for everyone... And i say, do what you think will work best for you.

nid advice to all NLE passers
same materials. i agree, CA had beaten the sanity out of me when i took the june 2007 licensure exam. Although a lot had been saying they'll focus more on IMCI, we only found 2-3 questions pertaining to it last june board. but who knows, things can change...might as well plan your schedule properly, give more time in topics/ areas you are not so good in; do not schedule one area per day, , if you shift from med-surg into CHN the next day, the tendency is that you'll easily forget what you've had on the previous day. i suggest finishing one area in a scheduled period, after shifting to another ...And also, be wary of topics/subjects that most examinees tend to take for granted, like CHN and Research. we couldn't guess what they might give next time, so just don't take it too seriously. Chill if you need to, and always pray to Him. Goodluck!

which exam should be taken next?
wow, thanks a lot for all the useful information everyone has been giving, as a novice, i find this site very very useful and helpful... we've been petitioned in 1998 actually, and yes, indeed it's really taking so long since according to the uscis bulletin now, the priority date is 01oct96...of which, i believe will take even more years of waiting for us(if i ever chose to take that way)... anyway, with all i've read, i've made up my mind, i'm working on my nclex exam requirements now, and hopefully by mid or late next yearor whenever the scheduled date will be, i can already take the exam...luckily, my aunt offered to help me during the process, since she's already a nurse in california... i'm thankful that i found out about this site, special thanks to the moderators...cheers! i surely will recommend this to my friends...i believe they will find this site very useful too...once again, i thank you all... :balloons:

which exam should be taken next?
hi everyone...i just passed the june 2007 board exam, and now i can't decide on what to do next...my aunt in california insists that i take the nclex asap...but i don't know how to start...and since my average is good enough, my mom wanted me to work first so i can practice and earn experience... if i decide to take the nclex, what's the first step? or is it advisable that i take other exams such as ielts, or cgfns? or are they even necessary? or should i work and pursue my masteral instead, while preparing/ reviewing for nclex? please help...thanks a lot...i'll be grateful for whatever advise anyone can give me...
