hi- quick question. i have a previous bachelors of science in chemistry with a 2.3 gpa. now, i'm enrolled to become a nurse at a local community college for their program. ultimate goal is to become a nurse anesthesist. would my previous gpa hold me back from being accepted into a grad school programs for nursing anesthesia? i should mention that i transferred the credits from the bachelors into the community college to gain credits towards the nursing program.

Possibly- especially as it was in chemistry, the foundational science of anesthesia. But you are many years away from that so your best path now is to get excellent grades, solid experience as an ICU RN and a fabulous GRE when the time comes.

You are a long way away from being able to get into CRNA school, I wouldn't worry to much since you will have all of your nursing classses for your associates as well as for your BSN, plus you will need ICU experience. Plenty of classes that you can improve your GPA on.
