Nursing program

I wonder if it is possible to be in a nursing program and take classes that are needed for med such as organic chemistry, physics, biology..etc ? Will it work out if i take summer classes as well?

I believe once you are in nursing school you go to nursing school year round. So you don't have time to take classes in the summer. Especially not heavy courses like organic chem and physics.

At most of the programs in my state (except accelerated nursing programs) the summers are off, so you could theoretically take some of the sciences during the summers, but look carefully. A lot of summer science programs combine both semesters into one summer, so it is intense to say the least. And if you were planning to work you may find that you just don't have the time in your schedule to do both (or at least to do both well). If you have room in your schedule during nursing classes you may be able to take the sciences as electives, but again, it will be hectic. I'm not trying to dissuade you in any way, just know that between the intensity and time commitment of the nursing courses on top of the sciences you will be busy. I've heard of people doing it, though, so it's not impossible. Good luck!

It depends on your school. Most do have the summers off, lots of people take this time to do intern/externships and add'l classes as well. Accelerated courses may not have summers off, as they are trying to cram all they can into a small amount of time.
