Nursing pre reqs

Published

Hello everyone!

I have few questions regarding the nursing pre reqs,I am planning to start my pre reqs at WSU this coming January and I have no idea what is all about.

I moved to USA 2 years ago and back in my home country I was a student at medical school which is 6 urare full program with 360 credits, very different than USA system, whatever I had already evaluated my transcript from overseas but WSU or any college in USA they may not transfer any credit so I don't really have any hope.

I will really appreciate any information regarding the pre reqs for BSN.

How many credits are the total?

Can you finish the pre reqs in less than 2 years using the summer time also?

Any information will be appreciated and if there are any students here that already are taking the per reqs for BSN I would like to read some of their courses. For example Human anatomy and physiology, are you guys studying from Gray's anatomy and Guyton?

Thank you to everyone

We are not sure what school 'WSU' is.

Your best source of information is an adviser at that school. They are the authoritative source of factual information.

Specializes in Neuro.

Contact WSU's advisement office, make an appointment with an academic advisor for the nursing program. Only they can give you the proper guidance you are seeking.

Specializes in mental health / psychiatic nursing.

As other posters have said, you will want to meet with an adviser at the school to design a plan of study as well as further discuss your transcripts and which course work may transfer to your current school. How to meet with an adviser is something that your school should cover during orientation.

As far as text books for pre-reqs, a book list will be supplied by your program telling you which texts to purchase (or rent).
