Nursing in Kuwait

My husband has been offered a jo in Kuwait and I am about to obtain my RN license. Does anyone know what the requirements are for nursing in Kuwait, or can you provide me a contact that can answer this question.

Thanks!

No much requirements are needed. Just make sure you have your attested certificates with you. You will need to submit your application and wait for an interview call. You will be given a written exam and upon passing that will be called for an oral interview. The paper work after that will take a few more months before you actually join.{ This info is for ministry of health}

Are you from india?

A group from kuwait ministry of health had been to mumbai recently for conducting interviews. That would have been the most ideal way to get into nursing here.

Hi.

I am actually living in Kuwait, from Atlanta , GA.

It seems that as R.N. I can not work in the Kuwait Health Care system without at least one yr . experience in nursing.

Any ideas for a new Graduate of Nursing to work in Kuwait, somewhere? doing somthing?

Thanks ,

RN in Kuwait....how about recruiting nurses; i've heard some recruiting initiatives are developing.......i'm in the USA and know RN recruiting from Puerto Rico to USA....some RNs she tells me would go anywhere now......specially...younger ones with one or two yeas exp.

Find the hospital that needs them....and you can try out something new....

RNs from PRico to Kuwait.....and you the RN liaison for Kuwait.....do they pay recruiting fees....as we do in USA

Hi Ambitious Nurse.

You applied to my post almost one year ago today!! I am here in Kuwait now, and would like to be able to contact you.

Thanks,

Diana Loesch

You need experience before you can work in Kuwait. The best jobs are in the Oil companies. If you are going to work in the govt or private hospitals, the pay is really not that high.

Yes, I know that I need experience in Kuwait, but I am already here!

The Ministry of Health laws for nurses are sooooooooo tight about needing experience.

I spent three years working my clinicals , it sure counts for a lot in the USA.

Best case scenario I can work as a drug rep or selling medical supplies!

I will take any other suggestions out there....

Thank you my fellow nurses.

hello

I am currently working at a clinic in kuwait. I am registerd here.

I have applied for RN to CARNA -Alberta, Canada, as i am planning to move there. but they need me to send "verification of nurse registration", and this has to be sent directly to CARNA.

Can somebody help me as to where i can get this done.

Are you licensed as a nurse anywhere? If so then that registering body needs to send the verification form and you pay any fees that are required. For example if licensed in the Philippines then PRC needs to send it, UK then NMC needs to send it, US then your state BON needs to send it etc

Thanks for this reply.Yes, i understood that the registering body needs to send it. I am licensed in Kuwait and in India. I am currently working in kuwait. I visited the licensing office here. but they said they dont know anything of this sort, and may not be able to help me.

what is to be done. If anyone has done this before from kuwait, it would be nice to know how to get this thing done.

Thanks

What is the pay scale for nurses in Kuwait? Do westerners get paid more (like in Saudi Arabia)?
