Feb 18, 201214 yr I will echo what everyone else has said....this is an impossible question to answer. I guess in its most simple terms "nurse error" is a mistake made be a nurse. Not trying to be a smarta**, but just trying to illustrate it can mean different things for everyone. Some ideas: serious (perhaps fatal) med errors, minor med error (e.g. giving 325 mg of ASA instead of 324 mg), forgetting to get VS before discharging a pt, giving an NPO pt something to eat, shutting you finger in the med room door...and about 800,000+ other things.
