I am wondering if there is anyone who is working and has multiple sclerosis. Have you told your employer? Have you found that you need to hide that you have a disability? I am having an issue at work, they found out I have MS. Now I am feeling a little under the microscope and persued after being a "valued" part of the team". Any thoughts words or advice? Thanks lost in boston:crying2:

How do you mean "persued' ? Are you symptomatic, and / or are you able to perform your duties safely?
I have a nurse friend with MS. When she is symptomatic she is unable to function physically and has mood swings & memory problems that got her into deep trouble at her last job.
She is a supervisor, not responsible for patient care but I think she'll have to go on permanent disability before very long because the stress of the job seems to aggravate her condition.
You might have some protection under the Americans with disabilities act ( contact a lawyer ). What kind of nursing do you do?

Have you been with your employer for at least one year and worked at least 1,250 hours in the last year? If so, I would fill out the paperwork for FMLA now. That way, if you need to miss time for work because of your MS, your employer cannot hold it against you/retaliate.
Dosument (such as in a diary) what you feel may be "different treatment" since your employer found out about your dx. Get a copy of the ADA and familiarize yourself with it.
