Hi,

I understand your frustration with the nursing school application process. I see you live in Seaford. I live in Massapequa. If you like I would be more than happy to help you with appliations and any advice I can give you about nursing schools.

Kim

Thanks for your offer. I am waiting to hear from Beth Israel and NYU. If I do not get in this time I will reapply again next year to those schools plus Molloy and Adelphi. Where did you graduate from?

I went to St.Vincents school of nursing in Fresh Meadows Queens. Great school, Great clinicals. I felt really confident when I started working. You should look into that school. Not a bad commute. I applied and was accepted at Beth Isreal. I went for a semester but I really didn't like it. I have a co-worker who went to NYU and she said that the clincals and the instructors were not good. But that is her oponion. I applied to Adelphi for the Fall semester for the BSN program. I am going to CW Post but the commute is alittle difficult for me since I work in Manhattan and live on the south shore. How is your GPA? Did you call Beth ISreal yet? I hope that everything works out for you but don't give up. Sometimes there are obstacles in the way but that makes you appreciate things when you get them. Nursing is a great professional with endless possiblites. I'm here if you need me. Here is St.Vincents website-www.svcmc.org

Hi!

My gpa is 3.35. I will be taking my math over again this summer to see if I can raise my grade. I have not heard anything from Beth Israel yet. Rejection letters were sent out on May 1 and I did not get one. I am thinking that I may be on some type of waiting list. I will look into Saint Vincents. Are you going to go to Adelphi's Manhattan campus in the fall?

No I go in Garden City. With that GPA you should have no problem getting in.

Hi Tracy!

With a GPA of 3.35, you will get in somewhere, is that a pre-nursing program you guys are talking about.

In the Metropolitan area, it is hard to get in, and sometimes you will to think outside the "box." I know some states, the population rate is low, so you have less competition when you apply for the nursing program.

Good luck!!!!
