Hello, I am starting my first nursing class (4510) with OU 11/3. Who's starting with me?! ;) I'm excited but, already feeling overwhelmed and classes haven't started. LOL! Would like to get a group together on here or FB...

Howd you know have to take that class? Does it show on your DAR? Did u get a mail ?

Ok, I found a buddy! I just opened blackboard and I started to have heart palpitations lol! I am taking the same class and starting our assignment due Wednesday.

Hi Dee_RN!

I was nervous about taking this class after reading some of the posts on here, but so far I feel like its just tons of busy work. I've completed all assignments for week one besides the personal statement. I'm working on it tonight. I am awful with writing papers-- so I'm taking my time with this first one. I feel that they will be graded more on APA format this time around.

Carlo_flash,

Once you are accepted into the program you should receive an email from the nursing department giving you instructions. They informed me NURS 4510 needed to be completed before any other class and My DARS was completed right before class started.

In the class now and having such a hard time trying to write these papers! Just can't seem to get ideas and form paragraphs that actually make sense!

4510 is the hardest. I have been out of school for 28 years and was not at all used to writing and APA

That's weird. I took the class back in March 2014 along with the physical assessment. Other people have told me on here that I needed to complete it first by itself but when I took it back then, it was a co-req which meant you needed to have it signed up in order to register for the physical assessment class. I've doubled up on a few so that way I can finish this December.

Consider getting PERRLA. OU will give you free access to Microsoft Office 2013 and PERRLA works with that. The benefit too is that you will be able to use Microsoft One Drive too. PERRLA costs like fifty bucks and it is a life saver.
