NSLIJ Interview Tips and Advice

Published

Hey! Hope someone can give me some advice..I had my first interview for NSLIJ medsurge position with the nursing recruiter on Tuesday...The next day I had an interview with two nurse managers...they then wanted me to meet with the director but unfortunately the CNO of the hospital was there and I did not get a chance to meet with the director. Would anyone have any experience with this hiring system? Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Hey, I also applied for a med-surg position! Which North Shore facility did you apply for? I'm also curious about their hiring system. I had an interview with the recruiter last week and she sent me off to the hospital to meet with the manager the same day! I thought the recruiter was very nice and she was impressed with me, but the manager seemed too busy to be interested. She looked overwhelmed :( The recruiter told me that it might take awhile to hear back because there are a lot of people interviewing for the same position. I have a lot of competition and I hope to get the position *Crosses fingers!*

hey it was NSUH...i am hopeful because i interviewed with two managers and they both seemed very pleased and took a lot of interest..i figure they wouldnt have wanted me to meet with the director if they werent but thee are many candidates for this position and im not sure how many openings there are..so now its just a waiting game unfortunately

I had an interview with Lenox Hill. Anyone know how long to hear back for an offer or rejection? Will they contact you (via email or phone) even to say you weren't hired? I just hate playing the waiting.

what ever happened ? I had an interview last week with only the recruiter. She sent me the email to send to my references. My references all completed it. Now what? Waiting game for another interview?

If you are asked to fill out the references. I think you just have to wait for an actual offer from nurse recruiter.

From my experience with NSLIJ recruiting process, it will take approximately a week to 2 weeks.

Keep me updated! :)

She had told me that I will have to meet with hiring manager and it will be up to her. I haven't gotten a call yet, but it hasn't even been a week yet. So anxious. I wish getting a new grad job was easy for all of us. Fingers crossed.
