NPI help

I just passed my boards about 2 weeks ago. I have accepted a job. Now to figure out how to properly apply for the NPI. Has anyone done this recently? Any tips/help would be super helpful!

Search NPPES. Create account. Fill out the information.

Pretty self explanatory from there.

Need to wait for your license in order to apply for your NPI and don't list your home address, give a business address or every drug rep in Kingdom Come will come to your house! You can change the address once you find employment.

I used my home address. No reps showed up yet. Though my wife would probably appreciate the free lunch. :)

This isn't accurate, at least not in my state. I was encouraged to apply for license AND NPI at the same time to prevent delays in processing.
