I really didnt know you could do all the classes online. thats really cool.

NSU has the RN-BSN program online, as well as an RN-BSN on-campus program

I did enjoy NSU when I was there, it is a nice school, and the instructors and including the dean, are great and helpful to all students.

Now that I am an RN, from a community college, I am doing my RN-BSN program at a public university due to the costs $$ Nova is $500+ per credit.

Bolded by me....a lot....A LOT has changed since you've been there. The are not great, they do not care what we have to say. We are in class/clinicals 32 hours a week, they WILL NOT give reviews for exams, and then ask questions that are not covered in class, lecture, notes or books. Not saying its not a good program, but we're fighting w/ instructors/admin on a lot of things right now. In trying to build the perfect program and run everything by committee they are forgettinga about the students. It takes 2 weeks to get grades back, we get no answers or feed back and are just told - "You are Nova nursing students now - we own you."

wow! I'm in total shock about what you are saying about the school!!!

I remember when I was failing the dean talked to me, about studying and was totally encouraging me and being completely positive.

It is true that you are there tons of hours per week, it's like a full time job--

Any complaints were fixed by the dean. One guy I knew told the dean "the room is very dirty, and I'm paying $40k to come here.." and within 15 mins he said that the cleaning person was there cleaning the classroom.

but I guess they are getting stricter and stricter with the new classes--

when I was there, there were no graduates of the RN program,

I sent in an application to NOVA for fall 2009 as well. I got a call this week to come in for an interview in April. Have you had your interview yet??

My interview is mid-April.

Well good luck with your interview, and hopefully we both do good and get accepted!

I wish you luck as well. I will post after my interview to give the scoop on how things go.

I wish you guys best of luck.. I have my interview really soon and I'm sooo nervous. I heard we don't get acceptance letters till June. :( Good luck to you all.

About the letters, yes - they don't get sent out until Mid June. I interviewed in the next to last group in May, so was lucky I only had to wait 3 weeks. Good luck to you all. Just make sure you ask lots of questions, be yourself, and be ready to do a writing sample before you get started with the tour.

Are this school's credits transferrable?

if you make as far as the interview...what does this mean? has anyone had their interview and not get in?

It means you get an interview. As with any limited access program, applicants are screened through the application process, if you meet the criteria, an interview is granted. Then the admission committee will decide out of the interviewed applicants who is granted admittance. Depending on how many spots there are to fill vs number of applicants/interviewees, likely there are more people seeking admittance than there are spots for, so yes, people may have interviews and not be admitted. On the other hand, everyone offered admittance may decide not to attend, so usually there is an alternate list so someone may get in because someone else turns the offer to be admitted down. This is generally how a limited access program works.

Hope this helps.
